The Lincoln County Asbestos Resource Program is a public health program that was established in 2012 with the mission of reducing exposure to Libby amphibole asbestos that is found within the Libby Asbestos Superfund Site and the surrounding areas of Lincoln County. A key goal is to minimize burden on the community members themselves. The program was developed under the guidance of the City-County Board of Health for Lincoln County and is currently funded through a cooperative agreement/grant from the U.S. EPA.
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is excited to once again be working with community leaders to make the 2016 Annual Global Asbestos Awareness Week (GAAW) from April 1-7 impactful and successful.
